NBA DFS Lineup 2.14.19

PG: Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder ($11,600)

No brainer.  Highest total of the night, stat stuffer that will continue to stuff.

SG: Jeremy Lamb, Charlotte Hornets ($5,700)

Lamb has quietly been a very reliable scorer for the Charlotte Hornets.  The type of player that will give you 20 points in a half. Coming off of two straight solid performances, surprisingly Lamb averages a whole point more per game away then he does at home.  Lamb is a solid mid-range play.

SF: Paul George, Oklahoma City Thunder ($10,700)

The MVP of the first half will want to put his stamp on the final game.  George is red hot and will continue to play well against a poor defensive team.

PF: Kevin Knox, New York Knicks ($4,900)

Knox has been playing big minutes now that the Knicks finally realized they stink.

C: Mitchell Robinson, New York Knicks ($4,100)

19+ points in 12 straight games.  Low cost will most likely make him very chalky tonight in a stars and scrubs lineup. Targeting centers against the Hawks is always a strong play.  The hawks will feature multiple big’s so the Knicks will need Robinson’s size.

G: Alonzo Trier, New York Knicks ($3,300)

The Knicks are always tough to predict, but Trier is coming off of his best game in weeks last night.  We know the Hawks are going to run, Trier is a great matchup in this situation to keep up with the speed of Trae Young.

F: Taurean Prince, Atlanta Hawks ($4,700)

Prince’s defense will be important against the Knicks best scorer Kevin Knox, he is diverse enough to give you point in multiple areas.

Util: Cody Zeller, Charlotte Hornets ($4,800)

No Bismark Biyombo tonight means more minutes for Cody Zeller.  Zeller has been back from injury for four games and has increased his DFS point total each game. Another low cost option that will at least get you high rebound totals.

NBA DFS 1.28.19

PG: Lou Williams, Los Angeles Clippers, $7,400 Williams is going to be popular in this matchup against the fast paced Hawks.  Fast pace and a player paying at a high level makes for big points.  Beverly is cheaper and will get his minutes but Williams is the more certain player for points. SG: Bojan Bogdanovic, Indiana Pacers, $5,600 Bojan is quietly having a solid season. With the injury to Oladipo points will be at a premium for Pacers guards.  Bojan will be looking to shoot and shoot a lot. Collison will be the chalkier play but don’t under estimate Bojan in this matchup. SF: Kevin Durant, Golden State Warriors, $9,400 No Draymond Green will open up the floor for Durant to be more of a playmaker.  With Boogie Cousins still on a bit of a minute restriction I am looking for Durant to not only supply points tonight but also rebounds.  Double-double should be a guarantee. PF: Dwayne Dedmon, Atlanta Hawks, $5,500 Only the Suns give up more points to centers then the Los Angeles Clippers.  Stacking the Hawks bigs, (John Collins will be chalky) seems like the best play of the night.  Dedmon will be a big matchup problem for the Clips, he has a low price and even higher upside. C: Montrezl Harrell, Los Angeles Clippers, $7,100 Harrell is a fantasy monster. The Clippers already play at a fast pace and it will only get faster tonight against the defenseless Hawks.  Harrell’s price is a bit more than I would like but he is still a solid play at a mid-range price. G: Trey Burke, New York Knicks, $4,200 Injuries to Frank Ntilkina and Emanual Mudiay open up minutes for bothTrey Burke and Alonzo Trier.  Burke should get the start as well as the points. He is high-risk high-reward.  Hornets give up the 12th most points to PG’s. F: Dom Sabonis, Indiana Pacers, $6,600 Love centers versus the Warriors. Sabonis also has no problem running the floor if the pace quickens.  Similar to the Bojan play, there are points to be had for the Pacer and Sabonis will be there to take them. UTIL: Malik Beasley, Denver Nuggets, $4,200 No Murray tonight for the Nuggets.  With the return of Will Barton and Gary  Harris, most will stay away from Beasley.  Could be a nice play if he gets a\ large chunk of the Murray minutes.

Early Slate NBA DFS MLK Day

Early Slate NBA DFS Plays. Martin Luther King day means a three day weekend and all day basketball. Split slates on Draftkings allows you to focus your DFS plays on just morning and night games. When looking at the morning slate, two plays stood out to me. I am going to build my team around De’Angelo Russell and Blake Griffin. Here is one of the lineups I am playing on the morning slate.

PG: De’Angelo Russell, Brooklyn Nets, $8,300

Always a dangerous play because of the greatness of Spencer Dinwiddie. Russell has a supreme matchup with the fast paced Kings and the lack of presence of any capable defenders.

SG: Luke Kennard, Detroit Pistons, $3,900

Kennard quietly is one of the hottest players on the Pistons. With No Drummond and poor play from Reggie Jackson, Kennard has been a legit performer over his last three games averaging over 25 fantasy points in each.

SF: Terrance Ross, Orlando Magic, $5,500

When you play the Hawks the pace is always picked up. Terrance Ross has been a consistent scorer all season and will be a perfect fit for this style of game. Ross doesn’t start but plays starter minutes. He can score and they will need points in this matchup.

PF: Blake Griffin, Detroit Pistons, $9,600

No Drummond always makes Griffin a must play. With Thomas Bryant and Otto Porter most likely being the guys trying to cover him it is a juicy matchup for the former sooner.

C: Willie Cauley-Stein, Sacramento Kings, $6,600

Centers versus the Nets are always a nice play.

G: Colin Sexton, Cleveland Cavaliers, $4,700

Sexton is a starting point at $4,700. this game is not going to be very fantasy relevant but when looking at the lower cost guards Sexton stood out to me because he can add points of the defensive end.

F: Lauri Markkanen, Chicago Bulls, $6,900

A quiet play for most because of his cost, Markkanen will not have to contend with the likes of Larry Nance and Tristan Thompson. He should be a guarantee for a double double.

UTL: Johnathan Isaac, Orlando Magic, $4,200

Gordon is questionable. If he doesn’t play Isaac will be chalky. But nevertheless he will still get 30 minutes against the upper paced Hawks. Isaac is in a great matchup and should give you 30 point value.

NBA DFS Picks- December 27

Unlike most in the DFS world I really enjoy a smaller slate. Five gamers allow you go play a stars and scrubs lineup and have a great chance to win. You can highlight a few players you want to watch. Here are the picks for tonights slate.

PG: Steph Curry, Golden State Warriors ($8,900)

I am drawn to a Warriors stack after the embarasment from Christmas night. The Blazers have been underwhelming to say the least and have a serious issues guarding the three. Damian Lillard on the other end seems like a solid play but I am going heavy Warriors tonight.

SG: Brandon Ingram, Los Angeles Lakers ($5,800)

No Lebron, this becomes Ingrams team again whether the fans want it or not.

SF: Kevin Durant, Golden State Warriors ($9,300)

I reference my Steph Curry reasoning.

PF: Noah Vonleh, New York Knicks ($5,600)

Vonleh seems to be the only matchup the Knicks have against Giannis. He has played like the player people thought he would be coming out of Indiana. Vonleh also just put up 36 points on Christmas day against the same Bucks team he is playing tonight. Low cost for a solid matchup.

C: Ivica Zubac, Los Angeles Lakers ($5,400)

This pick could change depending on the health of Javale McGee, no matter what Zubac has been very impressive when given time to play. Centers versus Kings are also always a solid play.

G: Lonzo Ball, Los Angeles Lakers ($5,500)

Ball is a similar play to Zubac. With Rondo out he will be the primary point guard. Again PG’s versus Kings is also a solid play on most nights.

F: Gordon Hayward, Boston Celtics ($4,700)

Not gonna lie this one is a wildcard pick against a poor Houston defense. Hayward has been streaky all season, but brings multiple potential options for points. Hayward has been consistent with 25 minutes per game and could have a couple of nice matchups in this one.

UTL: Nemanja Bjelica, Sacramento Kings ($4,800)

Bjelica is a solid player and the Kings will need to use their bench playing back to back games.

I will look to make changes based on injuries. Also may look to stack more Kings/Lakers players. Want to stick with Durant and Curry as my star plays.

Draftkings Picks December 10

December 10 2018- DFS Draftkings pick.

11 game slates make for multiple options, there are three games on the slate that have caught my attention. Let’s make some decisions.

PG: DeAron Fox, Sacramento Kings ($7,600)

Fox has seen an increase in salary over the last few weeks.  But with the lowly Bulls on the slate this game should be full of offense. Fox will have a great opportunity for high upside.  The Bulls rank bottom ten against point guards this season.  Fox can go off for 50 any night, tonight could be one of those.

SG: Bogdan Bogdanovic, Sacramento Kings ($6,300)

Let’s continue the stack of Kings against the Bulls.  Bogdanovic has hit above 25 for six straight games.  He is also blow out prove as he doesn’t sit usually start.

SF: Trey Lyles, Denver Nuggets ($3,700)

With the injury to Millsap, Lyles saw a huge up in minutes.  This play is mainly a price play for a guy that looks to play at least 30 minutes tonight.  The matchup with Memphis is not ideal, but a player playing a that many minutes at $3,700 is always worth a shot.

PF: Marvin Bagley, Sacramento Kings ($4,700)

Bagley is questionable tonight but if he plays he can be another asset at an affordable cost. Bagley is a double double machine in a pace up spot. Play him if he is able to play.

C: Karl Anthony-Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves ($9,200)

The return of Draymond green could make for a fun matchup for Towns.  Towns will bring a large amount of offense to this game.  With the questionable status of Anthony Davis, Towns seems like an easy play.

G: Colin Sexton, Cleveland Cavaliers ($4,900)

No George Hill means more time for Sexton.  Lots of minutes against coming for a point guard with few options behind him.

F: Otto Porter Jr., Washington Wizards ($6,100)

No John Wall tonight opens up more points for secondary players. Otto Porter will be the recipient of those points against a Pacers team that seem like a bad matchup.  Porter will bring multiple value spots.

UTL: Zach Lavine, Chicago Bulls ($7,400)

Potentially the play of the night.  Lavine has a chance to flourish in potentially the biggest game stack of the night.  Lavine has more options to work with after the return of Lauri Markkanen.  Lavine will not have a player to match him on the defensive end.  Lavine should net close to 50 tonight while his price continues to drop.

Good luck tonight!

I Talk Sports DFS Picks Oct. 29

The NBA has a nine game slate tonight marred by injury.  No Giannis, Kawhi, potentially no AD makes this slate a little tougher to pick.  It’s up to us to find the mid- level players that can make up for the loss of the bigger studs.  Who is going to step up for these teams and put up the big points.  This is the lineup I am looking into.

*all DFS games are played on Draftkings

PG: Goran Dragic, Miami Heat ($6,200)

Dragic and the Heat have a matchup with the hapless Sacramento Kings.  Dragic brings multiple skills into this game with the injuries that the Heat continue to have Dragic is the one consistent player the Heat can rely on.

SG: Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors ($5,600)

When Klay is this low you have to buy in, especially against the Bulls.

SF: Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks ($6,900)

No Giannis and no Kawhi in this game.  Middleton will be the go to scorer for the Bucks, while also not having to deal the the Leonard defense.

PF: Kelly Olynyk, Miami Heat ($4,900)

Olynyk is a boom or bust player.  Kings defense stinks so tonight should be a better chance of a boom.

C: Jarrett Allen, Brooklyn Nets ($5,400)

Very big chance of a double double tonight.

G: Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors ($8,000)

Lowry without Kawhi becomes the best option on offense for the Raptors.

F: Demar Derozan, San Antonio Spurs ($9,100)

Demar Derozan has been great early in his tenure with the Spurs.  A matchup with the Mavericks is great for any player with skills like Derozan.  Rim protector Deandre Jordan will be busy dealing with Lamarcus Aldridge.

UTIL: Zach Collins, Portland Trailblazers ($3,900)

Zach Collins seems to play better on the road averaging 15PPG on the road compared to just 8 at home.  The Blazers have a tough matchup with the Pacers but Collins should get some run in this game.

Good Luck Tonight!

NBA DFS- October 22

October 22 2018- DFS Plays Draftkings

PG: Malcom Brogdon, Milwaukee Bucks ($5,200)

SG: Josh Hart, Los Angeles Lakers ($5,100)

SF: Demar Derozan, San Antonio Spurs ($7,400)

PF: Jaren Jackson Jr., Memphis Grizzlies ($5,200)

C: Myles Turner, Indiana Pacers ($6,000)

G: Jimmy Butler, Minnesota Timberwolves ($8,000)

F: Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics ($7,500)

UTL: Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors ($5,600)

Good luck tonight!

I Talk Sports DFS Picks: Opening Night NBA

The NBA is back opening with a two game slate.  The Celtics taking on the Sixers and the Warriors vs Thunder.  Love a two game slate.  Was able to win big last year on opening night.  Heres my favorite lineup tonight.

PG: Kyrie Irving, Boston Celtics ($7,600)

SG: Raymond Felton, Oklahoms City Thunder ($3,700)

SF: Paul George, Oklahoma City Thunder ($8,000)

PF: Dario Saric, Philadelphia 76ers ($5,500)

C: Joel Embid, Philadelphia 76ers ($8,800)

G: Steph Curry, Golden State Warriors ($8,600)

F: Kevon Looney, Golden State Warriors ($3,600)

Utl: Marcus Morris, Boston Celtics ($4,200)

This is one of three lineups I will be playing tonight.  This lineup being the one I have put the most money into. With Westbrook most likely out tonight Dennis Schroder will be looking at big minutes but I think the veteran Raymond Felton could see just enough to create value.  If Felton and Kevon Looney can give us any return on our value this can lead to some cash for tonights lineup.

Being a two game slate you have to have those wildcards work out for you because you know players like Joel Embid and Kevin Durant will be very popular.  Steph Curry and Kyrie both have a flare for the dramatics and opening night should be an exciting event.

Good luck tonight!

MLB DFS Lineup- Sept 18

Haven’t posted a DFS Lineup in awhile, but I like a few matchups tonight that I think can be exploited.  May make a few changes once official Lineups come out.  All prices are based off of Draftkings.

P: Jake Odorizzi vs Detroit  ($8,000)

P: Joey Lucchessi vs San Francisco ($7,600)

C: Danny Jansen, Toronto Blue Jays ($3,600)

1B: Ji-Man Choi, Tampa Bay Rays ($4,500)

2B: Joey Wendle, Tampa Bay Rays ($4,200)

3B: Eugenio Suarez, Cincinnati Reds ($4,400)

SS: Francisco Lindor, Cleveland Indians ($5,500)

OF: Lorenzo Cain, Milwaukee Brewers ($4,500)

OF: Kiki Hernandez, Los Angeles Dodgers ($3,900)

OF: Billy Mckinney, Toronto Blue Jays ($3,700)

I like the matchup of Lucchessi vs a depleted Giants lineup.  He has had success against them along with some serious strikeout potential.  Teaming him up with Jake Odorizzi could be great low level cost pitchers allowing you to grab some bigger bats.

The bigger bats I went with wer Francisco Lindor, Lorenzo Cain and Ji Man Choi.  Choi has been crushing the ball especially vs righties this season.  The Rays should be a popular stack playing in Texas and facing the explodable Yovanni Gallardo.

Good luck!

DFS Picks Day Slate

I Talk Sports DFS Lineup (Day Slate) September 12 2018-

P: Carlos Carrasco, Ross Stripling

C: Martin Maldonado, Astros

1B: Edwin Encarnacion, Indians

2B: Brian Dozier, Dodgers

3B: Matt Carpenter, Cardinals

SS: Alex Bregman, Astros

OF: Corey Dickerson, Pirates

OF: Marcell Ozuna, Cardinals

OF: Joc Pederson, Dodgers

Looking at the day slate you have multiple options at pitcher.  Carrasco has the best matchup at a more affordable price.  The Rays can be a tricky to understand at times but they strike out a lot.  Gerrit Cole is an obvious choice vs the Tigers but his cost will leave you will little to know room to stack some potentials stud hitters. Save yourself almost 2K  for some hitters.

For potential lineup stacks the obvious choice is the Astros going against Daniel Norris. The Astros middle of the order can feast of of Norris.  Alex Bregman and red hot Tyler White are potential bats that can bring you some power.  White was a little to pricey so I decided to go with the upside of a cheap Edwin Encarnacion.  I also like the Dodgers in a . must win spot against the pesky Reds and Anthony Desclafani.  Brian Dozier and Joc Pederson were affordable options that have homerun potential in Great American SmallPark.
